Our Process Exclusively Focused in Family Law

The First Step

Preparation is a key to success in family cases. To ensure you are prepared, the first step to take in your legal journey should be to schedule and participate in a consultation with an experienced and knowledgeable family attorney.

A consultation with an experienced attorney is all a person may need to have enough information to confidently proceed with their legal matter on their own. Most often, the experience and advice of a family attorney throughout a person’s case is needed to ensure a desirable outcome. A consultation with an attorney at Myres & Associates, PLLC can help you make an informed decision regarding how you should handle your legal matter.

Your First Consultation

Myres & Associates, PLLC strives to provide creative solutions that fit our clients’ needs and goals. Our firm’s commitment is to make every client feel comfortable with the legal process and informed about their case every step of the way.

Upon scheduling your first appointment with your attorney, our office will provide you with a client information form. In order to get the most out of your consultation, you will be asked to complete the form thoroughly and provide as much detail as possible. If there are relevant documents, send them before your appointment.

During your initial consultation, the attorney meeting with you will ask questions and gather necessary information to help you begin to explore your legal options. The attorney will also inform you about the ranges of time and costs that will likely be incurred depending on the legal options available and the choices you make. Your consultation is confidential. Whether your facts and circumstances warrant traditional litigation in court, early or late mediation or arbitration, collaborative law, or simply hourly advice as needed – Myres & Associates, PLLC stands ready to serve your needs.

Our firm wants you to get the most out of your consultation! We highly recommend that you ask plenty of questions during the consultation. The attorneys at Myres & Associates, PLLC take pride in making sure our clients feel that their voice is heard and their thoughts and desires understood.

Hiring a Family Law Attorney

If you decide to hire a family law attorney at Myres & Associates, PLLC, you will be asked to pay a retainer. A retainer is an advance payment to the firm for the initial legal services to be performed. The amount required for the retainer depends on the complexity of the case and hourly rate at which the attorney charges. The retainer may need to be replenished throughout your case as it progresses. Our staff is highly trained to help you find the right attorney for your needs and budget. Depending on your legal needs, there are additional employment arrangements available which can be discussed in your consultation.

Myres & Associates has a team of staff available to assist you all throughout your case. You can feel assured knowing that your questions and concerns will be addressed in a timely manner.

You and your family’s needs are our number one concern. We work hard to prepare our clients for the stress that can occur in family cases and to guide them through the legal system while protecting their family and financial interests.
